The History of Media
During the Pre-historic Age, around 30,000BC, humans could only communicate through sounds and gestures. In 105AD, papermaking in China was created, immediately setting the precedent of an advanced future.

Electronic Age - 1800s. New forms of development allowed people to communicate from a distance; the telegraph was created, which became immensely popular. Furthermore, the radio went commercial in 1920.
The Digital Age - late 20th century
Industrial Age - 1600s - The development of technology allowed mass production of print; the printing press was a revolutionary invention. The Industrial Age is also when photography began to be created and develop, and newspapers, leaflets and advertisements became all the rage.
